Mermaid Swim Bag Tutorial

Hey everybody!
Its summer here in NZ although you would be right to question, second long weekend in a row, second set of shit weather to go with them, windy windy windy and grey and rainy today. This is shaping up to be the worst summer ever! we havent even put our pool up yet.

So to have a bit of summer fun we decided to decorate Indi's swim bag for the days when it is hot and she does go swimming at the beach when she is at little school.
Her swim bag is currently a calico bag, plain as, so we wanted to make it a
'Mermaid Swim Bag'

Now I have done this stuff with her before and when you say paint 'inside the circle only'! after tapeing off a nice round circle she just cant help herself and goes nuts in the forbidden zone, yay for childs freedom of artistic expression but sometimes you wanna make something cool as a kinda momma kiddie collaboration, so here is what I do.

You can see that all she is painting here is a circle, the bag is hidden inside this lovely newspaper package, away from the mess, and here is how...

take a sheet of news paper and get her to trace around a plate...

once done mum cuts the circle out, keeping the outer intact and throwing away the middle....

now place wide tape around the whole circle.....

and then trim it down to like 2cm and try to keep it perfect, this will then be stuck on your bag in the place you want and then wrap the remaining paper around the bag and tape it up out of sight..

now the kids can go crazy, and paint the whole thing in....
mermaid colours of course aqua, pink, purple, white

half dry with a hairdryer....

we use real shells for printing, this one is a scallop

with a bit of masking tape on the back as a handle....

paint up (done by mum)...

and print (done by child)....

and repeat, voila!....

we then added dots and purple glitter and then gold glitter, swished it all around and threw the excess glitter off and then dried again....

yay for glitter!....

so the paint we use is house paint test pots, the same paint I always use, they are cheap, come in 100s of colours, hold onto anything, fabric, wood, rock etc ohh and houses! and wash up in water...
You can use fabric paints if you want to as well....

once little miss hair dryer has finished, she can rip the paper and tape off

and here is our bag..

so here is where the collaboration comes in, mummy does the finishing touches because thats what mummies are good at!

so we swap jobs and she takes the photos while I draw mermaid curly wurlies and a border....

because everything looks better with a bit of curly wurlies...

and here is our finished collaboration, the glitter will eventually wash out bit by bit, but it looks amazing for now..

Its an amazing feeling when you both have fun and both are able to produce something that dosent look like a daycare art project
Indi is on the brink of 4 so she knows when something looks like crap, and it makes these sort of art projects easier when you go into them with a fail safe plan.
We spend plenty of time experimenting with crazy painting and printing so its nice to produce a good quality product together once in a while.

Now everything is uploaded I can start to relax and just keep on creating beauty

and leave the next step up to you

Lessons in life come from this collection for me

It has shown me that I am capable of anything I can dream up, things are as easy or as hard as you make them. I made this a love affair that sucked me away from everything, I gave in, I surrendered to what wanted to be created and now it is here. I have been a social hermit but it is now worth it.

I function best with a focus, before I was doing these clothes I was floundering around constantly wondering where to place myself, unaware of what I wanted to do/be. Because this is my focus now and it flows so naturally it is completely stress free, HARD work but stress free, so I have been concentrating on my health less and just getting on with life, I think when Im unfocused I can get into a kind of Hypochondriac mode, if your not being anything else you may as well be sick : /

I am ready to move on and expand, times are great, 2012 is here, it has started with a hiss and a roar and I am appreciating and thanking the gods for ALL of it!

I still have lots of work to do this year personally, anxiety wise, and I know I will be completely anxiety free again! Things are changing, things are moving, its all good, and its all here and been here for a reason! Look at this space we are in!

I have worked for weeks making clothing that I love, and everyone who has been in the presence of them feels the love too.

I don't recall a time when what I was doing felt this right,
have I even been here before??
I have done stuff I love sure, but there has always been a niggling feeling of negativity somewhere about something being not quite right.

There is a lot of recycled elements in this collection so where you see something reloved, like the cut off shorts, peticoat dresses or anything dyed, its all one off, not repeated exactly, the other tops and skirts are all made in small meduim and large.

All feather earings are singles and leather is hand cut by me, usually in front of a very overused DVD, my favorites for this collection were Eat Pray Love, Chocolat, Hideous Kinky and Stealing Beauty.

Feather earings are also free range, meaning that the feathers used were from my loved animals, who had amazing lives with me here in paradise, happy chooks make happy earings!

When Work Is Just So Damn Good!

I ate some bad food and spent the day in bed yesterday regretting every crappy mouthful.

Bad as it was, maybe it was a restful blessing that had me taking a much needed break.

I never even opened my art room door, left it jammed shut so I couldn't possibly give in to rebelling against rest.

But today! Ohh today I get to go to work and Im sooo looking forward to it.

Work is only 3 meters from my door and I love that

the comfort of working at home surrounded by my plants and animals is such a sacred space

Im doing lots of fabric printing today

and finishing up some leather and lace bags

all ready for the 1st of February when everything in this collection will be put in my Etsy store.

More treasures are being thought of and made daily, I love this collection xxx

It has been my saving grace.

I am already reflecting on my 2012 workbook, just in the last days of 2011 I had written in the releasing section that I wanted to let go of "swimming around in indecision, feeling I have no ideas of things that people will want" ...... well Im pretty sure that this wish has COME TRUE!

Its amazing writing things down, things change so quickly, especially this year.

On a very happy note, Summer has finally completed downloading and is here! took its time!

we are spending some awesome family time at the beach, Sunday was a dream.

and I know that today will be too, working on things I love and then having a crafty picnic lunch with friends at the beach.

I hope your all feeling something quite the same

Thankful for Feathers

I have had an exhausting but fantastic week with so much creating that today I can feel the tiredness via a lazy eye....how sexy am I !!

I wanted to be grateful and send out some thankyou's into the world.

I have my darling chickens to thank for the feathers that feature on all my Clothes and Jewellery in my new collection 'Gypsy Queen'

Yes the birds have died for this art, but they had amazing lives here on my farm and were really yummy to eat and uber fun for a 3 year old to pluck and gut, the gratefulness is endless with these chooks, eggs, love, fertiliser, feathers, meat and FUN!

Ever had chicken soup from a freshly culled chicken and veges from your garden?? Divine!

So wear their plumage with pride, they have earned it, we are so grateful xxx

I want to thank the people who make fabrics. I know many of us have an issue with MADE IN CHINA, but at the end of the day these are people with families in these factory lines who are working hard too and they are doing a great job at making fabric so I can make you clothes. Hate the big wigs if you must but feel some love for the little people who are creating some amazing stuff. I only realised this because my daughter would always say "who made this mummy"?? to everything she loves and where appropriate I would answer "China" and she would say "Ohh wow, thankyou China!" and go about her business, and that made me think, yes its junk, its usually crap, but some person sat there and did as they were told and made this for us. So not saying thankyou for everything you are putting out there, because man is there some disposable shit....but thankyou China for making some pretty cool fabrics. Thankyou xxx

I want to thank Pinterest for allowing me to make boards of inspiration so I could realise just how much I 'AM' interested in clothes and styles and helping me realise that I love this shit and want to make some for you too. All the things I cant find are now being made by me..score, best I do something with that Fashion Design degree from back in the late 90s! So Pinterest, what an inspirational tool, as long as you can couple it with ACTION! Thankyou xxx

and for the Action I have to thank Goddess Leonie, I learnt something from her which is called 'Riding the Wild Donkey', its all about having an idea and while it is raging in your mind you need to just dive in and grab that bitch and do it, do it, do it till your ding dang done! otherwise it will run off and you wont remember what the original idea was really all about. Ever read half arsed plans written randomly and have no idea what you were even talking about because you never went into enough detail??? Yes thats when you should have ridden the donkey, even if it means being a little sleep deprived for a few nights or shipping out the kids to babysitters for a few days, just do it. So thankyou Goddess Leonie for helping me recognise a Wild Donkey scampering thru my yard. Thankyou xxx

New Years Projects with sneak peek Movie!

I have been riding a wild donkey, all the way to my dreams of finally starting a clothing and accessories range.. It has been a wild few days of working furiously in my Lady Cave creating runs of the clothes I saw in a dreamy vision of a photo shoot Im now wanting to do. I have been wanting to do clothes all last year but never really had a clear vision of where I was going, it felt that there was a block in front of me and I was constantly trying to get around it, now that block has gone, the path is free and glowing and the ideas are pouring onto my pages, I am feeling so good about this. Its like Ive gone back to my old roots of late 90s, lots of leather and lace and raggedy fabrics with hardly any hems, it feels so right working with leather again and recycling recycling recycling. I think I have spent the last year researching, watching others fullfil their dreams and figuring out what mine was.
Here is my sneak peek movie, take a look at what I have created so far!

It's a welcome change to what I have experienced since the last post.

After my Grandfathers dying, death, funeral, my childs stomach bug for 2 weeks, passed onto me for a week, low blood pressure, fainting spells, Christmas, exhaustion, anxiety 24/7 then a New Years I just didnt have the heart to participate in.....its nice to be feeling like Im back on top and full of energy to start creating the year which I know will be my breakthrough year. I have been reading alot from Mayan Elders and it is nice to hear a rather positive spin on what is being seen as a scarey time, HERE is what I read this morning.

Another thing that gets me buzzing this time of year is this workbook and planner, I love goal setting and I love nothing more than looking back and seeing what I went thru with and what was just so totally wrong for me and I had no idea at the time that the worlds plans were much better for me. Its a great way to set intentions for the year, raise my awareness for what a perfect life would be and how Im pretty much 98% there! woop! I set the intentions and then just get on with it, letting things flow as they will, letting go enough for the magic to happen around me and to me.

I have had a think of my journey so far and feel that all my soul searching and cleansing has been great but it has meant that my world has become very small and safe, that is why this year Im moving back out in a safe and fun manner, I will expand myself and bring back all those things I used to love doing so much, missions to the city, kayaking and hiking and general bush time, just getting out and about. I have used the pages of my work book to write down all the ways I feel I can do this, so if Im ever lost in myself I can refer to my expansion list and just go do something without over thinking it! (which I am so talented at! )
Take a look and get one for yourself, Its a wonderful thing to look back on and realise you have come so far.....or not! and maybe to try harder next year! haha

Well on that note, I have spent 7 hours making a 4 min video and now Im off fishing with my little miss, she did so well in her fishing competition on the weekend so we off to the wharf for another go

Resurfacing From The 'Death Haze' : (

Wow it feels like an eternity and a different world since my last post, when I was Happily plodding away making presents for a happy little christmas just around the corner.

But here I am instead resurfacing from the death haze surrounding the departure of my Grandad.

I only realised I was in the death haze when I came out the drive the other day and they had graded (smoothed out the stones) our road, I was so confused......I forgot that the whole world was still functioning fine and it was a week day, everyday felt like a Sunday to me.

We have spent parts of the last week in a 24 hour family huddle around his bedside at his home, where he wanted to die. He was able to talk until the last day or so, this meant we got to have last conversations that mean so much to me, talks about being reincarnated as a cow so he could live on the farm forever, I promised him I would try not to eat him! still having a laugh, I let him smell his last flower, a pink vintage tea rose which I have brought home to save forever. He died on Tuesday while I stood at the end of his bed discussing with family how to drag photos to a new album on my macbook, I looked up, noticed his colour was shockingly different to the last time I was in the room and then he squinted hard and was gone, just like that, all the stories of long deaths with drawn out breathing patterns were not for us, just here and gone in an instant.

I know its very special to see something like this but all I have at the moment is sleepless nights full of nightmares of that moment

an actual moment of death.

Kauri Leaves

I had two days of panic, terror and anxiety thinking about him leaving before he came home to die, I processed those feelings with help from the wonderful sisterhood that is the 'Goddess Circle'. I made peace with my feelings of wanting to keep someone here just so he wasent gone. I then got on with the job of us all helping him have a happy comfortable few days and move on to the next stage.

My grandfather was a Kiwi Bushman who worked on the farm and make woodworking and polished gum from Kauri trees among 100s of other jobs, so for his funeral we threw native branches as well as flowers onto his coffin, something the men in his family really appreciated, I photographed the whole funeral which for some reason I know is a bit wrong but it felt right so I did it anyway, and Im glad I did.

He is buried next to my Nana, in his spot that he has been admiring for years

It was mainly a happy funeral, as it is with old people

no tragedy to mourn

just a life well lived and time to move on

We covered the walls of the hall in enlarged photos of his life and had a slide show constantly playing, there was no loss of memory of who he was and what he has done for our community. He came from a family of magic makers who created everything they could dream of, brothers and sisters who all had contributed to this place in such a large way farmers, authors, businessmen, builders, legendary watermelon growers, artists and creators

They all leave such a huge presence, all 8 of them

As nice and finalising as a funeral is, the moment I drove away from his house after the funeral was the worst feeling ever, I cried all night, things will now be different forever.

His home with him in it has been the one constant in my life that has never changed

everything else has moved around this, everything..

but his presence remained stable and reliable

the smell

the people

everything always could be relied on

I never knew this to be able to change but here it is now

here is our change

this is our reality

I have lost my centre, I have lost my true north, my earth has shifted, I have lost my balance

I feel lost

I didnt mind who I was because I was your grandaughter, your one girl , it now feels like and empty title

my compass always pointed back to this one place

the center of my history

back to you

my compass is still spinning trying to find it new space to rest

for now I just have to sit with the happiness that I got to be your grandaughter

and admire this huge space that has been left

bigger than anyone could ever fill

I had to write this because I want to remember these feelings, this state Im in

I cant stand grief, its so suffocating and my body is so sick with tension, no sleep, no eating, I need to turn this thing around.

I have received so many well wishes, prayers and love over the last week that it has been amazing

what I feel I need more now at this stage is your advice on how to remember.

I would love your ideas and inspiration to help me process into the next stage

I want to make things so special so my daughter can understand healing

She has been thru this whole things hands on too, I have to make sure her grief dosent get left behind in the dust of mine

Presents That Kids Can Treasure Forever

I have to confess that im not much of a present giver when it comes to regular yearly bits for people, but what I do do however is come up with things that are to be treasured forever, so they are more rare and very special. I just cant pop out and buy something for someone.I like to listen when people talk and snoop around houses to see what kind of things they like to be surrounded by, I write my xmas list from the xmas day before, taking notes all year of things that people would like need, listen to complaints, they are the best hints!.

So in this post I am going to show you the start of my xmas present making, only those ones who I know dont read my blog, but first this is a present I have made for a 6 year old girl who is a little nature fairy, she graces us in this post HERE from a few years ago.

I found this book at the library and fell in love with it, it reminded me so much of my old personality I cried. A fairy who is the town dressmaker who just works her ass off and when it came time for the ball she was so exhausted she slept and didnt even get to make anything for herself...sound like anyone you know???? Yes Im sure this little fairy is like all of us.

so when I read the book I noticed a little something special in it, she collects all sorts of nature treasures to adorn all her gowns and she keeps them all in...

As soon as I saw it I knew who this book was for and what I had to make, I actually planned to make it last year but being loopy stopped me so this year I had to make it happen.

I adore this box so much.

For me if I can give a kid a book its wonderful, but if I can give a book and make something from it so its even more real then that is amazing. I also do this if I buy a recipe book for someone, I pick a recipe and get the ingredients too (only dry) and make a little package, its great for foreign cook books with strange ingredients.

So I brought a second hand wooden box that had been used to carry wine, it had one rope handle and a terrible engraving on top

inside was a bit of a divider which I took out rather violently!

so I coated the engraving in glue and filled the holes up with sand then about 8 layers of tissue paper and a large circle in the middle

It worked really well and gave a nice texture to work with

and then I just got to painting. The good things with kids gifts like this is that the painting can be kinda rough and they love it the same so I felt pretty free with what I could do. I tried to replicate the box as much as I could and wrote her name on the top with gold leafing 'Stah Rosa'.

I made all the edges dark and black so it looked old and worn and cut that rope handle in half and put holes in the other side so there is now 2 handles.

Inside I painted brown with stain and put a feather and leaf holder on the lid instead of leaving it plain, I was going to have to go to town for the wood for inside but then spied some old shelves I never use because they are sooo impractical in depth. perfect!! so demolition and then re creation, voila, dividers. I love it and I know that she will too when she sees it this weekend.

Every day this week has been spent in my art room making xmas presents, most are in the half way stage, waiting on one more resource or ingredient.

Im working by the smell of spring flowers, it is a divine smell...

and watching movies as I work which I so prefer to music

So for one present I have blown some eggs from our chickens and Im making them all different

this one is a peacock one, I cannot believe how much I love it

just snip the feather so all the down is gone and hot glue gun in a layering fashion and the results are stunning

its so nice to hold too, feels so soft and delicate

all with free stuff, those are the presents I like

two of the eggs I have gold leafed with purple and red for backgrounds. After they are blown I cover them in tissue paper to cover the holes and it makes the gold leaf have a bit of texture. So the egg Im doing today is with rose petal which have been drying all week, this should be stunning!

We had a poppy photoshoot in the garden this morning for another gift, cushions like the ones I made HERE, so easy to do, I will glue them tonight and start rubbing the paper off tomorrow.

So I guess in my next post i will have alot more completed and can show you more ideas. I am loving Pinterest for this, I dont usually do things axactly like others but the initial ideas it gives you are abundant.

So back to the topic, present kids will actually keep, make it special, make it a keepsake, make it something they can hide things in, connect it to their personality or name or face. Remember the magic and that it usually only lasts in the little years, so let it into everything you do for them.

Spring Time Pizza Feast

So I was supposed to be taking photos of the moon for a kinda group assignment but the clouds were shocking and I waited and waited and waited. Stuff it, I went to bed!
But when I awoke in the morning with my camera and tripod still set up outside, this is what I captured, the best sunrise ever! and so warm already that I could go outside and dance in it. Ah we had plans for the day but alas, all that beauty had to be hiding something right??? Rain!!

A nice spot of rain to potentially ruin the pizza lunch we had organised, so I didnt dwell, I got my camera out instead and photographed droplets of pure magic on old spider stomping grounds.

I told Indi that this is how fairies washed their faces in the morning, can you feel it???

this one is for the really dirty fairies!

So while it rained and we still had people coming over, I decided to bake after math cookies, so when you wind down a visit with the last tea you present the giant jar with the enormous cookies, it always impresses, It does suck that you cannot really see how large this jar is! The cookies are as big as my hand so that must give you some idea! It is big and they are yum, so yum that I never cook any other cookies now, its just not worth it, nothing measures up. I may share the recipe with you someday!

The rain slowed to a drizzle so we lit the fire and got the pizza oven ready, this is actually the first time we have used our oven in the daylight, its always an annoying night time feast, day is waaaay better.

SO the kids help me get the toppings ready, capers, chillies, olives, salami, feta, mushrooms, fresh artichoke, onion, bacon and cheese cheese cheeese!

we make a huge batch of dough and start creating pizzas for our guests

during, rain rain go away!

and after!, someones favorite food!

and her dads too, Im more of a vege girl, need something runny or fresh.

I did gross our visiters out by making a lentil pizza with last nights dahl, it had feta in too , it was pretty special in a very gross looking kinda way. But it was yum...honest! ; )

After all the pizza was done we put some italian mussels into the oven. Whats special about these is that they come from the farm where our exact mussels spat is sent to. (if no idea what Mussel Spat is please see THIS post) SO at a very early stage in their lives, these mussels have passed thru my hands or heard me talking at least. It was very yummy to be reunited.

All in all a wonderful afternoon.

In other news, missy pants has started her little school and lurves it, I cried the first day she skipped off with out me, her happily swinging feeling free, me blubbering in the car because Im a dumb mother who wants time to her self again! Dont worry, by the next day I was fine!

She is going 3 days a week and Im hoping this leaves a lot more time for blogging and making things for my etsy store and having dinner prepared for once and a clean house! Ha ha ohh the dreams! we will see, the balance is just reshaping at the moment, Im sure I will get there.

And to finish off probably the highlight of my very sick week, cough, cough, cough.. is that I have a new cup! I know, I know its amazing right?

They are plastic (gasp) but Im about to confess to the herbal world, that I love nothing more than a good plastic cup, I cannot stand drinking from glass, unless its wine!

but this cup, ohh drool, the curves are so smooth and it feels amazing to hold and its big and dense and its PURPLE and ohh so comfortable to drink out of and the water just tastes better and its PURPLE!!!!! Can you hear me!!! its PURPLE.

The 18 Virtues That Lead To My Serenity

Are you having to deal with anxiety like the other 90% of us???
Since my body has awakened, I have had a lot of fear and anxiety swimming around in my body. It is sometimes a daily battle when things are moving thru but otherwise it has been a year and a half now so Im a dab hand at dealing with it. Anxiety has helped me to step back and rethink the things Im doing, why is this making me anxious?? do I really need to go thru with these plans?? I have cancelled alot of things in my life that I thought were important before, and I now say NO a whole lot more. I have no idea how I ever crammed so many things into my day before. It was definitely my down fall. I remember I used to sit still and try to relax but every time I did i could feel something coming, behind me, creeping in, it was such an uncomfortable feeling that I would jump up and find something to do constantly. I couldn't even watch tv, I had to be writing at the same time or involved in an action. Thanks to my breakdown process and the huge amount of work I have done, this is now all gone, and its quite the opposite, I feel terrible if I try to do two things at once.
A wonderful book I read that helped me understand fear and anxiety is called 'The Tibetan Art Of Serenity...how to conquer fear and gain contentment' by Christopher Hansard. who turns out to be a New Zealander too!

One thing that stood out for me were the 18 virtues, I read them over and over and wanted to have them with me daily, so I painted and wrote them on signs to place in my garden, as a kind of meditative walk I can do daily. but firstly here is what he writes about the virtues.

"Sometimes our minds, our hearts and our energy can seem like muddy water, but if muddy water is left to rest and be still, it will eventually clear. In the creation of this clarity, which is serenity, you will experience what is called, in Bon tradition, the Eighteen Virtues. Each of them and all of them will bring serenity into your daily living as they appear naturally in your life. You will not have to make them happen, in fact, you may have some of them already. Once they all appear, you will discover that they enable the serenity within you to be expressed directly into the material world. Read each of them and their descriptions aloud, taking your time, and consider them as you hear yourself speak. Each of these 18 dwells within you as living potential and as each is awakened, they merge to create a complete serenity that not only empowers you spiritually but also acts as a tool that will enable you to love and live more skillfully"

SO here are the signs we made, they are just ply wood painted with exterior paint and then the writing done in a vivid marker, I was going to go extremely arty but then just thought, just do it! and get them out there....

I also condensed a page he had written about the meaning of life which I just love so much, so that was made into a big sign which is like the gold at the end of the rainbow journey, and spits me back into my courtyard.

I love how he says they dwell inside you after being read, like you dont even have to be actively understanding them, just as long as you body is hearing it, you are taking it in.

Today is a beautifully drizzly day, perfect because of all the seeds I planted yesterday, grow seeds grow xxx and come join the healing garden, and after spending all last night packing Spat till 1am this morning, I am going to use this drizzly day to sleep and recover. Child permitting of course!

So please use these virtues every day if you can, check out the book if your having a few fear issues, it's so common these days with the Quickening going on, Im 100% certain that my bodies journey over the past years has been preparing me for this.
If you don't know what I mean by quickening, watch this film, it explains the Mayan calender better than any other thing Ive read of watched.
It's YouTube and 1hr 15mins but very worth it, the pace and womens voice are very engaging. Let me know what you think about it, and pass it on to anyone having a strange tough time.

Small Happy Happenings

Eggs for breakfast thanks to our chicken friends, they give us 6-8 eggs a day which is enought to feed us and gife to 3 other families each week, chickens really are a great deal. The eggs, the poo for the garden, the feather treasures and the fun and games Indi gets to play with them.
Thats what you do when your and only child in the country, role play with animals.

Im out every morning trying to find the perfect shot of this! Poppies opening but still folded up, its amazing how they unfold, an amazing meditation is just watching the flower escape and expand its blanket of petals to the sun, much like watching a butterfly pump up its folded wings. We also watched a quail hatch on friday from fist peck of the shell to getting out, it was such a great process and also so frustrating, we so wanted to help, but when you do they usually turn out to have brain damage and have to go. Something about the birthing, hatching process is connecting all the bits in the brain together. Its a great process to watch. Good for teaching Miss Ants In My Pants patience.

We have been busy as bees this week, still more spat coming in so lots of late nights and hard work, Kelly is delivering it now, a 14 hour drive away.

I also love to go out in the afternoon garden and see all the bees loaded up with pollen, we dont have any hives here so I always wonder where they are taking it all, who's honey are my poppies makin?? They are so friendly and pose well for my camera.

This to me looks like heart ache from someone who has been burned by love, they are left open and raw inside and have grown prickles on the outside to stop letting any one ever get close again, this poppy needs a hug.

I love how I managed to capture the black in this shot, Amazes me how these grow from the tiniest seed, same size as these ..... and the petals fully form inside that little prickly pod, never getting tangled, I wish I was a fairy and I would wrap myself up in those petals and make a beautiful red dress.

tasty treats for Daisy the goat too, she loves eating poppy petals, but then being a goat she will eat anything we give to her. Indi's best friend, she is always collecting food for Daisy, all different grasses are potential treats here!

these were the photos we took the day before indi broke her arm, flying on her trampoline, reaching for the sun, I thought this arm would have slowed her down, I feel she may have almost sped up, the cast is like a challenge and she is determined to win..

I love the glow of the sun, these turned out perfect!

just like our spring weather, the plants are looking amazing around here, flowers and colour are in abundance, you cant help but smile as you walk around, and I have planted strawberries in every garden so Inidi has to make a round trip to get them all, or just pop to various gardens thru the day. kids love gardens so much, even if they dont love the work all the time, they can help out for little bits and still understand the process.

A Sign Of New Work Flowing In

I seem to have fallen into a new line of work lately. Funny when you think you know what you do and one person will ask for you to do a job and then it sort of starts rolling from there.
I am spending a lot of time, sign writing.
Here is a job that I did for a backpackers up the road

They had very old school road signs, to me the old ones were 70s smoker lounge, these ones reflect the feeling of the backpackers much more.

the road is a 6km long dirt road, which leads to such a beautiful beach..

these are the old signs in the shed, and I also painted smaller signs for the tracks around the backpackers.

and the beach....aaahhh... its so nice and in summer the water glows..

I am so blessed to live somewhere that has no beach crowding and very clean water. We have no idea how lucky we are here. I like to remind myself by remembering that people come to my home town to 'Holiday', this is a place of desire to many people and they escape to here to relax, have fun and explore. Something I can do every day if I wish to.

The Broken Angel

This may look like best friends painting nails, but its something even better...
Its best friends supporting each other as kids innocently do.
Indi has broken her elbow after fighting with her beautiful best friend at the top of the slide and falling to the bottom, but they dont care, they dont know how to hold grudges, there was never any blame or story telling, they just get on with it, and here they are, playing happily, Mayya having her nails painted by her friend with her right hand in a cast and her wiggly left hand making a mess of not only her nails but her fingers, but they just soldier on and do it together, never judging, just feeling the moment.

Watching my daughter and her broken elbow have taught me so much and it has only been 6 days since it happened.

Firstly if your child does a cry you have never heard before, dont suspect she has found a new fake cry and tell her its ok! haha ohh god terrible mother alert! eek

But seriously, what she has taught me is that adults complain, sure kids winge, but adults do nothing but look back and complain, projecting all kinds of, 'If only I hadent' sort of scenarios. She has never talked once about wishing she had not broken her arm, dosent complain about what a pain in the arse it is having a cast and no use of her hand, and it has not slowed her down at all. I wonder if adults are not living in the moment enough and how things may be much more pleasent if we just got over things faster and got on with it. Stop wasting energy on regret and just adjust ourselves to our new reality. Is that it?? adjusting ourselves may be the hardest part, so stubborn to have things the way they were because it worked. But if accidents like this altered our reality then we get to discover things that our rigid lives we're not letting into the light..happy accidents that free us....like this..

Its of me and our dog Pipi, and I know it looks like nothing much to you, but this is as good as her right hand. Im right handed and Kelly is left handed, is it possible that this is how ambidextriss kids come about???

No loss of sense of humor either, I have to say I thought I was in for a sweet ride and she would slow down a bit!! dream on mum! Nothing but a still arm, a fast body and a cheeky brain.

Yesterday we went to get her permanent cast but her arm it is still too swollen, she enjoyed having a poke at it anyway.

So relaxed and brave

and they have set her hand free in the new cast. So next week stand by for cast creativity.

The Four Lessons In Life That Can Transform Our World

I have these sayings that I live by everyday

They have made the hugest difference in my life, taking me from a place of pain, blame, shame! and unhappiness, to somewhere that's empowering, shining, wish granting and happy beyond compare.

Its the difference in attitude that separates you from your your old ways and brings you into the new.

Like fitness and getting fit, once you are there you need to maintain it, just a little bit each day or a few times a week. Happiness and Health are the same, you don't just get happy and then stay there, you need to do things to maintain that space, and it's easier than you may think.

Here are the 4 Lessons I try to live by as often as I can.

ASK * BELIEVE * RECEIVE

This is a way of ordering what you want in your life. You can relate it to when you buy something online. You hunt around researching what is the best buy for you and then you buy it, thats the ASK part. You then wait for your purchase to turn up, you have complete faith it will arrive because you know that you have taken the right steps and put in whats required on your end, the order is placed, you can let the outcome go because you trust in the process. You BELIEVE. The next part is that it arrives in the mail and you RECEIVE, simple as that.

SO we can use this with everyday life.

You are putting out an intention, making an order to the universe.
You cant get something that no one even knows you are wanting, so ask, let your dreams out there, tell the world what you are wanting from it, make your order and believe you deserve it. the universe can tell a fake feeling from a real one so you need to project it with the love you have for it. Project a feeling of realness not a feeling of wanting, wanting only leads to more wanting. Feel the real feeling of having this dream already come true. Ask like you know its coming, like you know its real.

What I have also found with this law of attraction is that some things don't come easily which can leave me frustrated, I dont give up and not trust,what I do is instead of asking for a new product (like my new computer) to drop out of the sky, I ask for an idea or wisdom about how I can bring it into my life. It always works, and it gives me a chance to be creative and work for what I want, which always feels good in the end.

LIVE IN THE LIGHT

This lesson is so special to me because it was spoken by my daughter in an amazing meditation I did. I was going through my 'Dark Night' faze and could not see a light at the end of the tunnel at all, when your in that faze its like someone has turned out the lights and you have no idea where the exit is, all you can do is process and wait, which is the exact opposite of what you want to be doing.

I use this lesson whenever I have a bad day, which are usually only about my thoughts, hardly anything external. It brings me back to my center and makes me remember to try and find the light in everything that's going on. I can live in my dark cloud of resentment, anger, judgment, melancholy and sadness or I can look up, think of the Light things and Live in it.

Anytime I catch myself feeling negative, I stop and intentionally wipe my thoughts, keep it light. It may not work first time but just keep pushing past the negative into those positive bits and soon your whole body will follow. So living in the light, almost like an orb around you, an orb of protection where nothing can get to you and bring you down, and if it does creep in you know you can blast it back out, center yourself and maintain your space.

I AM GRATEFUL

Wow, being grateful, where do I start, probably my most favorite subject, this is a huge lesson in life.

How Gratitude Works
Everything in our universe is a vibrating mass of atoms and particles also known as Energy. The energy that you project is based on your thoughts, feelings and emotions and is broadcast as a kind of frequency into the world. What is attracted to your frequency is a similar vibration that harmonizes or resonates on your same level, What the incoming energy then determines is the events, situations, and circumstances that eventually you see and experience as they manifest in your life.

When you are in a sincere state of gratitude your energy or vibration is one of acceptance and harmony. You vibrate positively, and as a result project a much higher vibrational frequency which is exactly what attracts to you the events, conditions and circumstances that you desire.
Think Of Yourself As A Giant Magnet ....Whatever you are feeling, whether it be love, fear, anger, happiness, anger, joy, gratitude, resistance etc. you are creating a magnetic force, that attracts and draws to you events, conditions and circumstances which are the same as what you are feeling. Fear of something creates a magnetic force that will attract more of what you fear. Expressing Gratitude for any situation projects a magnetic force that draws to you more of what you are expressing gratitude for. So what do you want more of??

Try stopping for the few seconds it requires to think of something to be grateful for today.
The more you do this the easier and more natural it becomes. Once you recognize and understand the use of your creative power you can see how you were 'unconsciously creating' your life, now with gratitude you can begin to 'consciously create' the life that you 'do' want, take responsibility for the things happening and turn them around so you are receiving only the best.

Gratitude begins with two simple words – thank you- but you have to feel grateful with all your heart. The more you start to say thank you, the more you will feel it, and the more love you give, the more love that will return. If you use gratitude a little, your life will change a little. If you use gratitude a lot everyday, your life will change in ways you can hardly imagine. Not only does gratitude multiply everything in your life, it also eliminates the negative things. No matter what negative situations you may find yourself in, you can always find something to be grateful for (maybe the sun is shining on your plants) , and as you do, you harness the force of love that eliminates negativity...........So be thankful for your hard earned treasures, gifts, nature, friends, homes, surroundings, children, food, great work, families, animals, cars, health, creativity, sounds and smells....the list to be thankful for is endless.

Somedays I chant myself into a happiness state. I may be feeling anxious so decide to wipe it out. I speak continuously I am grateful for .........., I am grateful for.........., I am grateful for and just go over and over with anything you can think of, mainly stating the type of energy you want to find yourself in, I am grateful for how confident I feel, I am grateful for how relaxed I feel, I am grateful for how happy I am right now, I am grateful for this awesome day and how great I feel. Just hype it up and you can feel the energy around you change, you start smiling and the heaviness of anxiety is lifted.

So Go forth and be Grateful

ABUNDANCE

No matter what your state and where you are in life, you have to project the feeling of Abundance, It's like collecting all your little coins even though you have no money at all, putting them in a special bowl and being happy with your abundance of money. Same for friends and family and love and work, look at the small with the eyes of Abundance and more will follow.

How can we have more when we don't appreciate what we already have.

Small thoughts gain small results, put the Abundance out there and Abundance will return.

Some days its hard to feel you have anything, I know i have those very days when I have so much to do and its all getting on top of me, all this home crap and work to do, but then I think that what if I had nothing, no house to clean, no posessions to wash, no food to eat so no dishes to eat off. It makes me realise I live in a very Abundant world with everything I could ever want, I have Abundance.

I just need to remember it more, that I can have everything I want but before then I will be greatful for everything I already DO have, which is a lot.

I have these banners hanging around my house. They are the constant reminder of what i should be concentrating on, whats important, whats real in my world.

And with the constant media reporting on nothing but tragedy I feel its important to keep my positive spirit up and not get dragged down into the negative world (live in the light! see its an every moment thing!)

I am finally selling them in my Etsy store and handpainting more tonight at 'ladies art night'

Spread the word, spread the love, revel in the sun, that shines above.

Spring At The Magic Farm

Spring is so amazingly here, the flowers, they are everywhere and I love watching the busy insects working hard. Sitting still in the garden you realise there is sooo much going on at the miniature level, those bees and ants are hard workers, we just need to pause long enough to look. Starlight Kitty Cat

It does however have to do with a fabric/remnant swap I did with the lovely Cameron of Paint Myself Pretty. Here is what she made with my parcel of goodies that we swapped back in May...ohh my uselessness me, Im so late!!. But I have been working on two projects, and this is the one that is finished.

Its a Starlight Cat named Twinkle (after one of my own)

Her eyes are the colour of oceans and seas, with a kitty cat uni brow Frida would be proud of

her body is made of stars, and she sits contently quietly in wait

This little Kitty Cat needs a place to rest, I wonder if I know a home thats best??

I thought it should go to a little person who loved cats, who loved them so much that she had her bedroom themed around cats and even had a little kitty cat birthday party.

So Maggie my sweet this one is going in the mail and flying all the way to you.

Our Lotus Birth Experience

Today I wanted to talk to you about something close to my heart called Lotus Birth?

If you want to hear my personal experience with the Lotus Birth of my daughter read on.

Its always good to learn new things right?
Here Goes...

In 2000 I brought a magazine because I knew a man in it, it was called 'Mother Magazine', a photocopy magazine from England about natural parenting, pregnancy and birth. I read the magazine with interest but at that stage in my life I still did not want children. I had no idea that by buying that magazine for a totally different reason, my childs life would be so hugely affected.

I had read about Lotus Birthing. The practice of not cutting the umbilical cord when a baby is born, where you carry the placenta with the baby until the baby is ready to let go of the cord, not our decision but theirs.
When I became pregnant in 2007 I knew that I was planning for a lotus birth, I read everything I could which wasent that much at all, but enough to know that this seemed the only way to bring a child into the world for us, once we were educated we just couldn't go back.

What are the benefits of a lotus birth?

The extra blood received by a baby is 600mls which is the same as 1.5 litres for an adult, that extra blood gives them an amazing start and they donot experience the first week jaundice or weight loss. The amazing part for us was how relaxed India was, she slept and slept, some moments for 11 hours, once for 14 hours (cue first time parent paranoia!) but we trusted and just let her do her thing, right from birth she only ever woke once in the night, and kept the exact same pattern as what she had when inside the womb, 1.30am feed. Feeding was the other amazing thing, she didn't feed for the first 4 days, we were so blessed to have a maternity ward who allowed us to just watch our baby and not force the normal routine on her. So I expressed some colostrum to squirt in her mouth, she didn't want it! When she did start feeding the feeds were 8 hours apart eventually increasing to four hours in the day. So after birth sleeping was great in our house, before birth I was getting up 7 times a night to go to the toilet because I had a bladder the size of a mouse! Finally we were getting some sleep.

Crying was rare, when she did cry, she cried like a very pissed off baby, but she could go a whole day and not cry once. We had a very relaxed baby who knew what she wanted and had very amazing communication skills. Independence was something we had to get used to, I thought being a mother meant I had to do everything, but when India was only 4 months old she was feeding herself and by 1 wouldn't let us play the feeding game at all. There never seemed to be an attachment phase at all. Teething was a breeze, waking with teeth we had no idea were coming, I have heard some horror stories of teething and had prepared myself for hell.

Health wise she has been amazing, she only seems to get the tail ends of colds and is never held down by them, at 3 1/2 she has had 2 fevers, one ear infection, no stomach bugs and has never spewed. We decided against immunization, for fear of what the chemicals could do to her body, so we felt that a lotus birth was the best way for her to build a naturally strong body, give her the best start and let her body complete its journey into the outside world at her own pace.

So How Does It Work?

We had an amazing birth, although at our local hospital (to calm my nerves) we have an amazing maternity unit where you are primarily in charge of your experience. We organised with our midwives that what we were after was an unassisted birth, and compromised on the midwives talking to my partner who would then talk to me. I didnt want to hear about how dilated I was or if I was taking too long too fast etc.

I had a water birth which was very centered around my intuition, I talked about how I felt and we just watched my body until I finally birthed. Everything went perfectly.

SO after Indi was born we waited around for 40 minutes for the placenta to come away and also be birthed.

,(please look away if this is too much, I promise its the only bloody photo)

Once out we had a good look at our daughters previous home and took photos, then the placenta was placed in a colander over a bowl, brought especially for this day.

A midwife took the bowl and Kel took Indi over to the sink to rinse off the placenta, we first made the mistake of putting it under cold water which made our poor baby jump. This is when we first realised how sensitive and connected babies are to their placentas. Warm water was then used and she lay comfortably, we towel dried the placenta which now looks like a piece of ...meat and lay her back in the colander to drain more.

After weighing and measuring our daughter was dressed and she held onto her cord the whole time. By now it was midnight so we all went to bed after an exhausting 24 hours. What we found is that no matter how much clothing our baby was wearing, she couldn't get warm, after feeling the placenta and its cold wet temperature we decided to wrap it up and put it in its special bag to keep warm. Her temperature rose straight away, another piece of proof to us, of how connected they were.

The placenta, which by now had a name too. Ishtar. was carried around in its special bag, it layered as, placenta, disposable nappy, cotton nappy, towel, bag. Its quite nice that your child isnt too easy to handle, it gives you a reason for people to leave her alone, I just cringe when I watch new borns being handed around in circles, there is plenty of time for cuddles.

So each day we salt the placenta, the first mistake we made was just crashing in and unwrapping the placenta without asking, my god did she scream, and like for an hour!, so next day we asked if it was ok and told Indi what we were doing in stages, she was very calm?? who knows right?? Each day you salt the placenta with lavender scented salt, the rate that it dehydrates and shrinks is amazing. It doesn't smell at all. The cord is quite hard looking after only a day, this of course depends on the weather, a soggy day Vs a hot sunny day.

It took 6 days for her placenta to be pulled off, she was always holding her cord, one day it just let go.

It was amazing to have my first cuddle, chest to chest, to really embrace her,' her second birthing' we called it, this was the day we also gave her her first bath too.

We took her placenta and buried her under a tree with Kelly dreadlocks which he cut off the day she let go of her cord too, both were buried under a tree we hope will one day be a climbing tree for her to have a tree hut in, the cord we kept, it is so dry, maybe resembling one of those pigs ears you get for dogs to chew on! we have coiled it up and sewn to a wall hanging in our lounge next to a few of daddy favorite dreds.

So probably the question we come up against most is 'How can you be bothered doing that?' and I guess the answer is, that its only one week out of your life, sometimes less, and if it makes for an easier time for the good of your child and family, wouldn't you do it too? I never found it to be anything but normal seeing as I have never had a baby before. But the child we ended up with is an eye opener to our family. Don't think for a second that she isn't a normal child, my god is she loud, naughty, destructive, funny, loving, polite, rude, beautiful, generous, infuriating, inspiring, exhausting, creative, stubborn and smart. She is extremely capable of everything but she also knows what is right and wrong for her and will not be changed by anyone, ohh believe me I have tried, but we are so proud of the person she is becoming.

I highly, so highly recommend a Lotus Birth to all that can go thru with it, the risks are practically none and the benefits seem to go on and on, its such an interesting journey to watch.

Feeling The Up Coming Raven Moon

One more week till we click over into Raven Moon and Im trying not to get too excited. Really I think I should be able to feel like this any time of the year right?? but truth is I dont.

When it's a Raven Moon my creativity and plans soar to new heights, its the time of year when all I have concentrated on suddenly bursts forward into the next level of reality.

Last year it was health, this year its my work that Im focusing on. And with my daughter starting day care in a few weeks I am going to have 3 days to make my dreams real where at the moment I get one day.

And I love that one day, yesterday I updated my Etsy shop, had a photoshoot with myself and my remote control shutter ( I adore that thing, best $8 I ever spent! ) gardened, cleaned, painted, read, ate an amazing lunch, hung washing, fed chickens, talked uninterupted on the phone to friends and talked to my plants. But I always get a little bit excited when Im going out the drive to pick up my daughter, to hear of what amazing things she got up to too in Grandma land.

Days off are great for BOTH of us!

Here is something I have been working on for nearly a month! It just takes so long to get anything done at the moment, my farm seems to have become my full time job.

*Pendulum Charts*

I have had a pendulum for many years and use it regularly but was so frustrated with the charts that were out there, they all had far too much of an occult feeling which was heavy and dark and made me feel I should be hiding away doing Pendulum work under the moon with candles etc. Thats just not how I feel about my pendulum and I wanted something that was about light and sunshine and happiness... like rainbows!

So I painted 6 charts which I felt would cover all the bases of the questions I have. They are such a joy to use that I decided to copy and laminate them and send them out to the world., for others to use too.

SO here is a run down on the 6 charts...

But first a little something for those of you who dont use a Pendulum yet.

About Pendulums

Anything that has a weight and hangs from a string can be used as a Pendulum, but a properly made balanced Pendulum will give the best results. There are many theories on how the Pendulum works and what it can be used for, some say it reacts to knowledge which is not yet in the conscious mind and seeing as we are here with a full knowledge of our lives and are day by day remembering, that makes this tool work. You will find a Pendulum more useful as a 'Where To Focus Your Energies' tool, rather than for 'Reading The Future'. Change is constant and every decision we make is altering our paths like the branches of a tree.

Use this tool for personal use of for others with their permission. The Pendulum will not answer questions about others without their permission.

How To Use A Pendulum

Hold the Pendulum between thumb and index finger, and have your elbow on a table to keep you steady. These charts are created with a center point (bottom of chart) which is where your Pendulum should hang when still. Speak your questions out loud and keep your Pendulum informed of what you are thinking, this saves confusion. After asking the question you may still ask it regularly while the Pendulum swings to keep you both on track. Be thankful for every answer you get. The more familiar you are with your Pendulum, the better it will respond, so spend some time together like old friends.

If the Pendulum seems to be completely off track ask it if your should stop for today, respect it's times for answering and for not. Most of all..Have Fun

Alphabet SoupFor the discovery of names, places etc. Ask for spelling and go letter by letter, saying first letter please etc, run thru previous letters each time you ask for a new letter. When letter is correctly identified pendulum swings back to the center and is still. When complete check if correct on 'Yes No Maybe So' chart

Positive Energy

This chart is used for all decisions in life, a 'Mean Positive Energy' chart helps you see if the decision your about to make, question your about to ask, proposal, idea or journey has a positive energy attached to it. The segments are in % of 10 – 100, so 10 not so good, 50 win or lose its fine, 100 go for it. Its like the little guardian angel helping weave our path to happiness.

Yes No Maybe So

A Million and One uses. This chart can be used alone and is the main chart for many Pendulum's. 'Ask Again' suggests the question is confusing or unable to be answered with yes/no. Re-phrasing is needed. 'Not Now' suggests it's a question that you do not need the answer to at this time.

What to Do With Myself

This chart is for those days when you are wandering in circles around the house. You don't mind what you do, you just wish there was some motivation to do something. Ask your pendulum what activity will help you get the most joy out of your day, or inspiration, or relaxation, or results.

Chakra Healing

Feeling an issue has risen with no topic to fix it by? Check your chakra's and see if they are blocked. Ask 'are there any chakra's which need attention'
Find a good chakra and crystal book and use their techniques to clear the blockage and let things go.

Time and Space

A chart for all those timing questions but also for discovering how to really work with yourself for better result, work smarted not harder.
Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring we all prosper in different seasons, find when its best for you to start new project, make changes, let go and rest.
Months of the year for questions about changes, prosperity, career, love, family...when will it happen...when??
Hours in the day for finding your most focused achievable time bracket, use the 'Yes No Maybe So' chart to confirm if the time is am or pm.
Weekdays to get on top of your week, discover how the week best works for you, working hard at the start and relaxing at the end??

Bright Light and Fun is definitely the word here. I love being in the presence of these charts.

Today Im working on making pendulums too, for sale, I was looking at crystal or brass ones but you can get those anywhere so I am making some special Raven Moon Magic ones.

The more you use the Pendulum the more efficiently you work together, so practice practice practice and find your own way of how things work, my ways work for me but I have read many books where techniques differ, as long as its consistent your way will work too.

I am working on more book banners again but this time they are in colour too, eveything is getting very colourful around here, after a whole exhibition in the black, maybe Im finally free of all of that, I certainly feel it. Nothing like diving into the darkness and doing the work, hard as it is ladies it is worth it in the end. And to think that just over a year ago I was thinking it would just be best to kill myself!! eek yes its true, I just couldnt see that my life could come out of the blackness I was in.

Turning Of The Sage

I am obsessed with a new tool I have found on Picasa and its the Tinting Tool.

No picture is safe from being transformed into a 70s golden time warp picture.

I love it and have a new story in mind with this magic tool as the star.

How fun will this one be!!

Here is Indi with her cousin Lauren, one child photo shoot, easy peasy, 2..not so, 3 impossible! but we got there in the end. My mum will take these pictures to Scrapbook camp and put fairy wings on them, made from OHP plastic and glitter paint.

It has been rather a beautiful winter and will probably go down as my favorite so far, this is 7.30am, already warm enough to play outside. I like to suggest its always warmer at our house because we are on a high hill, closer to the sun! People look at me like Im crazy, but Im convinced its true!

And this is my most favorite part of the gardening year.

Its not harvesting or watching seeds hatch or even my babies thriving.

'TURNING OF THE SAGE'

Every year over the end of Summer, Autumn and Winter Sage becomes small scraggy and dry looking, although its still very much alive it looks very much dead.

For me the changing of seasons is hinted at by my beloved Sage, a plant I fell in love with growing when I worked in Italy. Its also close to my heart because when I was pregnant they say donot eat it. I found out why, after all I have the most sensitive body ever, and I ended up in hospital at 32 weeks with contractions, my body trying to spit my baby out, but she mananged to crawl up under my ribs to get away from all the drama, very strange for the doctors, a first for them! Another story there! All was well, she stayed put!

Anywhooo...

This is what is happening in my garden right now, the green on the Sage is appearing before your eyes, It looks so lush excited to be here. It has woken from its winter slumber and rubbed its eyes, ready to expand to widths and take over the garden...

Crazy Daisy

Goats are great, to watch their antics, for the kids and for keeping random bits of grass down, everytime she sees someone she bleets, its nice to be acknowledged that often!

She is healing a hole in my heart (no pressure Daisy) left by our previous goat Heidi, who died after we went a partied with friends for the weekend while she got tangled in the sun and dehydrated and died. I have never been able to forgive myself, she was so special.

We got her as an orphan from the mountain you see in the first goat photo, her mummy had abandoned her because she was born with 3 legs! her missing one is a little hook. We got her as a 2 weeks old and she was the size of a cat, a screaming hungry little cat!

Funny when Kelly went to pick her up we thought we would need a trailor, when he came home I thought he hadent got her, and there she was curled up in the front seat of the truck. sooooo cute. Everyone had a soft spot for rascally Heidi sniff sniff : (

Back to tinting......just cant stop!!

and more tinting, this is India's face after painting a masterpiece, she gets her wild thrashing painbrush methods from watching me lately, letting it all out!

Well dishes to do, washing to fold, 200 or more magazines to go thru and rip out pages I love before they go off to the market, sick cow to tend to, house to tidy, floor to sweep, crackers to make and child to play with.

Crafting A Little Goddess

The sun was shining on this wintery day and I decided to sit on my bed in the warmth, peacefulness and absolute quiet and just MAKE something...

not for a challenge, not to sell, not a gift or treasure for my daughter to destroy and not because it was planned in advance

just sit and create something for ME.

I drew a Goddess....

she held the world inside her and had the mind of absolute wisdom and remembered knowledge.

I gathered some bits, a bead, a stick, a bracelet, crystals, indian stamps, dimantes and a special paper clay my wonderful friend Cameron had sent me from USA.

aAs I sat she came to life over an hour of meditative bliss, I got lost in the moulding and relaxed more than I do in my relaxation work!

She is perfect to me

for some reason when I sculpt womens faces they are always Aztec looking, when I do men they are 100% American Indians...does anyone else find this repeated style?? It feels I have no idea how to do anything else no matter how much I try to squish out those facial features.

Now I just let it be.

She has an Amythest in her crown, to channel all her wisdom, a Turquoise coloured third eye...

and holds a terminated Quartz in her Solar Plexus to radiate all that energy to the world. I sculpted her in a bracelet so she had a level defined base...and of course its Beautiful India made.

the thing with sculpting in white is how purely she emerged, so pristine..

I find making anything with a face is an overwhelming crafting experience, you have created a person where before you held only resources and potential....but now someone is here and they have manifested thru you...If I had sculpted a leaf or shape it would never have held a space like this human form has...I have created life...

Very Frankenstein maybee?? "Its Alive!!"

I took my Goddess to my Ladies Art Night and spent the whole night painting her in water colours, at first it was hard to destroy the pure whiteness I was used to seeing her as, but as I moved to the next stage it became very satisfying to see the new colourful Goddess emerging. I also used gold leafing which makes everything it touches come alive : )

For the patterns I used my tiny Indian Metal Bindi Stamps

When do I use her??

She sits on our Collection Table or Alter some might say, its the place where all the daily treasures we find are placed and all the bits we love are displayed.

Today I took her outside to help me with some garden healing.

Because I am doing the 'Goddess Haven Course' over at 'Goddess Guidebook' I have been cleansing and healing all the spaces in our life and one I really wanted to work on is our garden. We only eat our own veges and a friends down the road so this space sustains and nurtures us probably more than any other. I give back as much as I can, with manure mmmm and plenty of seaweed and fish sprays and natural ground powders. We adore our garden and send it heaps of love. So when Goddess Leonie taught us about Crystal Gridding as part of the course I knew this was perfect to raise the energy of my healing garden space.

I blessed my crystals with my goddess's presence and then planted them in the dirt in a grid to raise energy. Turquoise is perfect for garden energy and is great for healing and energising plants, the Quartz is used as the energiser centre and reflects the energy everywhere.

I set the intention to not only raise the energy of the food we will eat but to create a space that soothes your body as well when you are in the garden, clam the mind, be happy etc.

Since then I have let the garden rest and have not worked in it all week, so we will see what this weekend brings!!

I will be involving my Goddess in many more things Im sure.

I know she will now watch over all the crafts I make to keep my intentions true and enlightened,

more about crafting for others pleasure

rather than money$$$

I sure do need an ETSY makeover with some new stock!

I joined Goddess Leonies Goddess circle and feel slightly obsessed with the new space I have found myself in. It is such an inspiring journey platform with just huge amounts of love and fun to draw from. So I reccommending that anyone who wants to find the best of themselves join too. Its like a private world with new courses constantly running, on everything from personal development to business to creativity...

This is one of the courses I am doing at the moment and my home is gaining so much from it. Its really great for appreciating your space your in and with spring coming up I want to have it all done by then so I can just enjoy planting, flowers upon flowers upon flowers!

I took an old painting that was rather BORING!! no wonder it never sold!

I remembered when Lisa from 'The Wright Stuff' went to a 'Do What You Love Art Retreat' earlier this year and she did a class with 'Flora Bowley'. The layering and freedom painting Flora teaches really spoke to me because its something I never do, Im what you might call a 'conrolled painter'! I want to change and this is what I came up with on my first try.

I used everything i could find to make a print and just went nuts, this is the calmest i have felt in months, usually I have the terrible feeling on food allergy leftovers coarsing thru my system which seldom lets me have a relaxed body, but for some reason this totally absorbed me and I was free from that for a few hours...bliss.. and I have another one to do too.

Tapas Accupressure Therapy

I have returned back to therapy last week, TAT therapy, it worked best for me when I was very sick last year. Im basiclly there for my physical reactions to all foods and sprays. Whenever I would eat, (organic or non organic didnt seem to matter) my bodies reaction was to start buzzing, shivering and sometimes shaking, within 10 mins of eating, it was unbearable and I was reacting to everything, so I stopped eating without really noticing, just avoiding lunch and snacks and only having breakfast and dinner and got down to a little bitty 48kg eek so it was time to do something about it, life was being overrun by thoughts of food, or really fear of food because of what it would do to me.

So Tat therapy works on releasing traumas, even things we have no idea are there, it lets things go on a cellular level and basiclly when an allergy like this begins for no reason its stored trauma making it way out and your body gets locked in a pattern. So its only been 4 days and you have 2 days or letting go (horrible emotional stuff uuck) I can eat and be still already, its only going to get better, the results are so good from this therapy, take a look at the website linked to the heading or search your own.

And keeping with the Wild theme I have also started buying Wild Sister Magazine which is an E-mag, I never saw myself doing this but here I am loving Issue 2, it comes out every month and is jammed with so much inspirational stuff. And the best thing is its really cheap$$$ and no trees have to die and you only print the pages you want. because it comes as a PDF you have all you magazines saved to your computer as a resource for eternity, your baby cannot rip these ones up!

A Clarion Call

I chose this book from the library using the internet catalog without seeing it or knowing anything about it.

So its a blessing when those books send themselves to you as a kind of message.

I am finding it eerily scarey in some parts because its almost as if this women is writing about me and all the strange things I have been experiencing this last few years. But then there is comfort in knowing Im not crazy like I thought. Something big is going on, some huge shift is happening.

This book is great spiritually and technically with all the mathematics of the world which the mayans and aztecs understood so well. Its alot about how the world calender needs to be round or spiral and as BRAINY!! humans we decided to make it in a straight line. So for theories on planet happenings this is great.

Scared of the 2012 December stuff???? read this,

it dosent say the world wont end, its more about how are we going to re-start it!

This website is soooooo nice, its built by normal people who send in their odes to the past thru photos. Anyone can send a photo in, you hold the old photo in front of the original space and some of the changes are so beautiful. The links to the past makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. If you LIKE on facebook, they send you updates every day. One day Im going to do my own and send it in.

Kings Seeds

With spring arriving I have soo many seeds down, mainly all flowers at the moment, the vege garden is fully stocked still, my best successive planting ever. But as usual the seed catalog comes in the mail and I cant help but over order, I just luuuurve growing things, these are my babies and I want to help them all prosper in their journeys

And of course the full moon which has been affecting all of us, especially with all the planets clashing like crazy the last few weeks, what an intense time. Im just happy I follow a moon calender and know when its the earths business and when its mine, imagine always thinking it was YOU who was having a shitty day!

Where Have I Been??? Playing In Seaweed!

A thousand apologies that I have blipped a bit the last week, I have 80% written the next post for Wild Woman Journeys and will post tonight, but thought I could explain why I have not been up to date. I have been working, day and night in the winter cold packing mussell spat.

There are alot of jobs and businesses out there that Im sure we never even know exist. The stages in producing something that is never known. I have one of those jobs, I work with 'mussel spat', the stuff that is needed before mussels can grow on mussel farms. So here is a look at the job we do every winter.

Kellys family work in the Marine Agiculture business so every winter season we have a quota to fill for mussel spat which is pretty much mussel babies. The only place in New Zealand that you can get this spat is here in the far north, it washes up on our West coast, a very long beach called 90 Mile Beach. This is where we get onto the beach to start our beach runs, which is driving for miles rain or shine, day or night, looking for dark patches of seaweed in the water

The spat washes up on certain winds and moon phases and is collected onto trucks and brought home to be packed.

The spat attaches itself to seaweed and looks like little crystals and like little mussels when they have grown bigger, you can see some in this photo, attached to the left of this seaweed.

So spat is a crystal like thing and it is attached to the seaweed, it is not the seaweed!

working with seaweed isnt as gross as it sounds, its so fresh from the sea so it dosent smell, maybe just a bit cold when its midnight and your in a cold garage sorting the wet stuff with an aching back from hours of work that you question your sanity.

it has to be sorted to remove sticks, sponge and shiny weeds, the stuff on the floor is rubbish and is returned back to the beach.

Somedays its a very messy job

there are sooo many types of seaweed all tangled together

and we use a conveyor to sort it so it can be packed in 10kg bags

which are packed on ice into a truck and then delivered all over NZ to the mussel farms

Welcome all you Wild Women to my last post on 'Self Love', two weeks sure flies around here! I know many of you are taking time to do the work I have suggested and I love your feedback, it lets me know Im heading in the right direction too. So lets get going with this post and see what you can take from it to help move yourself into a new more posotive you xxx

My Experience

This is my experience with 'Self Love'. I feel it is a common thread these days, especially with the over communication of our times, we are so much closer but so much further from each other, there is gap emerging in our lives which is hard to pin point, here is the story of what was mine.

When I was lacking in self love, it was expressed as complete loneliness, a desperation for love from anyone but the ones who did love me. I could be in a room full of people who were friends and feel completely alone and isolated, Its like I couldn't reach them, so close but so far, I began to feel worse and worse and that began to show on the outside with me seeming more awkward with each passing day. It showed to me in the fact that every time I laughed (rarely) it felt completely fake and put on.

Naturally invitations dried up for the weird girl, I felt I was revisiting childhood rejection from school days. I started to fret about not being invited to things that I wouldn't have even been invited to on a normal day, all I saw was what I was not being invited to as opposed to what I was. Socially I had shut down so I used my professional interactions as ways to connect with people. I started to do the one thing that I knew could get me love..... I started to 'Volunteer'.

I was the girl who took on any role that was going to help out, take charge, give of myself. There was nothing I wouldn't do for a little praise, Ohh the praise and thanks, but in the end all that praise went no where, it all sunk into the big black hole of loneliness inside of me within an hour of receiving it. So what did I do? I did more! because surely if I had more praise it would finally hit the magic spot...my heart. But it didn't and I burnt out from the frantic volunteering.

When I had to give up my life that wasent working and let it all burn away,... I was left with ...me, and once I learned to love me, the old original me, all the loneliness melted away. I had found myself in a place quite the opposite to before, a place I didn't want people to come to, I chose complete isolation and it helped me to find a life that relied on ME only. Filling myself with love from me and what I do for me! So now that I'm back out in the world anything like praise, appreciation and love that does come my way, leaves a warm glow and I just move along happily with good memories.

I go out a lot less and enjoy my time at home more than before, when friends go to parties I not invited to, I love to hear their stories and see photos, I no longer feel Resent or Jealousy for the things that don't come my way. I have a wondeful group of friends that I appreciate for who they are, not for how they make me feel. I do what I do and finally that is enough for me. I love the feeling of satisfaction from nothing but everyday life, it means that anything else that happens to me tips me over into absolute ecstatic happiness. It shows me that my cup is already full and just waiting to be overflowed daily.

I now take a huge amount of wisdom from the following quote, I think it speaks of our society today. Not many are satisfied and spend all their time hunting for something that will never fill the hole inside them. We are the only ones who can fill them and heal them, this is our journey...and our alone . xxx

'Everyday Muses...aka Friends'

This is a little something you probably do each day without even thinking of it, but its always best to do things with intention. Coming from an Inspiring angle rather than a Envious angle will surround your thoughts is good energy too.....so...

Make a list of your closest friends or people you like to be around or think of, they can be personal friends and family, work mates, strangers, or even famous people. The main thing is you can sense something about their personalities.

Once you have a list of names, write down a trait they have that you love the best, there are so many wonderful things about other people to admire, so write them down.
Are these traits that you wish to own yourself ?
Can you use your friends as inspiration to be a better you??
This can be a two fold experience, because you can gain the knowledge for yourself and also by concentrating on others good points, the love multiplys and you bring more of that light into this world.
We need to celebrate each other a little more : )

I concentrated on my good friends that came to my tea party and this is what I came up with. Try not to think too hard, I pretend that someone asks me about a friend "What is your friend Renee like?" and I answer with the first special thing about their personality that comes to me.

Wild Woman Challenge

'Self Love Portraits'

We all have photos that we love of other people, and I save those beloved photos in the hope that one day I will get off my ass and take them of myself. Well this week I brought a remote for my camera which means I can set up the photos and click away till I get it right.

The first one I did was one I love of Stevie Nicks.

Its good to note that you should try and capture the photo in your style. Its heart breaking when you give yourself a photo to copy perfectly and its so hard to do, and it feels like an epic fail. So here is MY version of the Stevie Nicks photo. Set up took all of 5 mins, dressed on top, pyjamas on the bottom, sitting on my daughters floor with a backdrop stung from her wardrobe to the tree in the other corner. Bedside lamp with no shade, camera sitting on chair with remote in hand. Yes this is the real world, no studio needed! Then I 'Picasa' it afterwards and its magic.

So try to dedicate some time to yourself this weekend getting those dream photos done, even better if you can do it with a friend whos willing to have hers done too.

So fun and the results are there for a life time, I always think my grandkids will love photos of me like this.

I think Im gonna print this one out big!
Its nice, you cant see my broken nose! eek!

I love to do questionnaires and put them away to be read years later, it shows the hugest amount of changes in our life, and are sometimes a good laugh, or a bit sad seeing yourself stuck in a space you thought was unmoveable at the time.

Nature Girls Winter Fun

School holidays are here and that means we get to spend time just having fun with no timetables for anyone young. So we gathered our girlie friends together to have some nature fun.

We took to the sea on Poppa's fishing boat and went for a ride around the harbour. it was an amazing winters day, sun shining, no wind.

We come and cook our dinner over the fire and play Bush People, one of my favorite childhood games, I always wanted to be stranded somewhere so I would have to survive. I have found out recently its a trait of having a 'Libra North Node'. Soooo Fun!

All this winter fun is great but bring on spring!! I want to get planting some flowers and summer veges : )

Thankyou to everyone who is following this journey both publicly and privately, the feedback has been awesome and its great that there are so many of you wonderful women interested in reclaming yourself. I am enjoying connecting with you all. This will be easier for a few of you if i could send you personal feedback on your comments, check your comment reply address is on because when I get a comment that says "no reply comment" when emailed to me, I am unable to personally email you back.

So onwards we Journey to todays topics, which is the....

Wild Woman Challenge

How do we see ourselves??
Its all very well doing this self love work on ourselves, but a big thing is how you are actually seeing yourself, what words do you use to explain the type of person you are. Have you ever been stuck for words in a job interview when asked of your good points and heaven forbid your BAD points! For this Wild Woman Challenge we are going to delve to the depths of our 'Personal Words'.
For sure there are some traits which cant be explained as words, we will just leave those as the bits of whimsy and magic that swirl around you.

For this challenge you are going to need to start with about half and hour of time in silence with no distractions, no people, phones or electricals. Just a space for you. You need a pen and two pieces of paper to write on. And get comfy, I like to do this sitting in bed, my favorite place! Maybe a window to look out for the blocked lost in thought moments.

The Glowing Things About You

Hold your paper in front of you and write at the top "I completely accept myself because I am...." Then close your eyes, centre yourself, by breathing in and out with awareness, its not any technical breathing, just watching how you breathe will bring you back to yourself and help seperate from the outside world for a bit. Take about 1 min to centre. Concentrate on the words " I AM " as you breathe. Then open your eyes and write. Single words or little statements about who you are! you can write all over the page or a neat list, just try to get a whole page in there, you know you can!!

When your Glowing list is done, smile to yourself because you know its true, and put it aside.

The Dark Things About You

Now take out your other sheet and write at the top "Today I release my tendency to be....". Sit for another 1 min breathing thinking the words "I RELEASE" and then start writing all the Dark things about yourself you would rather not have. This is a harder list to do as sometimes our self rightness gets in the way. The easiest way to do this list is in small explaining sentences 'stressed about money' 'a dweller on my health issues' etc, explain the behaviour. the trick is to do you list double spaced on the way down and by the time you get to the bottom you are really into it and have opened up to how you really are, and I love to look at my bad points in a funny posotive light, it gives you the EEK!! feeling, sad but true! hehe So once your at the bottom go back up and fill in every gap, I got 41 traits on my list, blurred for your convenience! So dig deep, get real and stop hiding behind the perfect door.

and once again smile because you know it WAS true but now that your aware its the first part of change!

Lets Bathe In Our Beauty

So for those with beautiful hand writing YAY! (Im not one of them) you can write up your glowing list to hang up and be read every day. But for people like me you can make up a page alah computa with cool fonts and colours. Put those words up to affirm with yourself every day that this IS who you are. When we want to attract something to our life we have to make sure that our actions donot contradict our desire, so by reading about how wonderful we are daily, by highlighting our good points, those points will grow in love and just get better and better and start affecting not just us but those around us too.
You outer level must not contradict you inner, lets get them in tune.
So hang your words and be proud and grow!

Letting Go Of The Darkness

One of the big questions is 'why are people still living IN darkness'? Its a place no one wants to be but its a place so many of us dwell because it feels, comfortable, easy and somehow soothing. "things are shit again..ohh well never mind Im used to it : ( " Its the easy road when breaking thru and making things better can seem like such a huge task, its almost exhausting thinking about it. here we are going to work on releasing those realities and default settings. So with your list in hand of all the darkness you no longer NEED! (yes thats right, YOU are the one holding onto it, not anyone else), set up a special place outside. Just a nice spot and light a few candles and be comfortable, there are going to be flames, so outside is sort of essential.
Read your list "Today I release my tendency to be...........

at the end thank your traits for being here and teaching you the lessons you needed to learn but now they are no longer required, you must be greatful, Im sure they have taught you a great lot and a few will be back to teach you again. Then BURN that piece of paper and watch all your negative traits turn to ash. Say thankyou to who ever you please, god, goddesses, angels, stars, earth.. who ever you connect with, talk about what you are doing and why, ask for help, send out your wishes, let your dreams be know, SPEAK IT! and then go rub that ash into the ground or grass so it disappears, or blow it to the winds.

Letting go is done.

Go have a cuppa, dance for joy and go to bed with a smile on your face.

Letting go ceremonies are all about your ability to LET GO so have the intentions to go with your actions.

AND RELAX.

The Beauty In You Art Tutorial

If you did the above 'Wild Woman Challenge' you should have your list either hand written or typed out to hang on you wall. Here Im going to make a painting out of that list to make it even more beautiful and desireable to read.

* Take your page and find a canvas it will fit on with room to paint around, i found an old one I had already stuck recycled paper to years ago.

* Trace the size of you paper in pencil so not to paint behind it, you want to keep the background as light as possible.

* Masking tape the outside edge of your paper line to keep the paint a clean edge.

* And paint!, I used rainbow colours, I wanted something bright which I couldnt help looking at, just whatever comes from your heart is whats called for here.

* Have a nice time, listening to music...tra la la

* Take off your masking tape and check that the lines match up

*dry (hairdryer for me, its winter)

*Next wet your paper IMPORTANT! ( I printed my page on inkjet printer THEN went and colour copied it WITH CARBON so that when its wet the colours WILL NOT run, If you wet your inkjet printed paper it will turn into a rainbow itself!) So wet your paper so that when you glue it it dosent bubble up and bulge.

* Paint a glue or medium on background for paper

*gently attach paper and brush with more medium and smooth down gently with hands.

* Voila

* Use pencil to outline a pretty design, of course I went Indian

* Paint in with any colour you choose, I like the vibrant white, it extends the paper.

* Paint layer after layer until you are happy, ohh hang on we are already happy!

Setting The Love Free

* That night at Ladies Art Night I put on my setting free decorations, I use swirls because its a releasing symbol to me, 'letting things be free, extends the light in me'. The dots represent the lessons I have learnt along the way. We must be grateful for them.

Its great for others to read so they can reinforce the traits they see in you too
It also shows they are wonderful friends if they are happy with your abundance.

and a little treasure hanging there to represent the one treasure I have created that gives back to me every day, maybe not 100% joy! but she is giving me something.... laughter, frustration, love, inspiration, stress, fun, exhaustion and an extension of my life, that needs to be set free more than anything I have.

How often do we look outside ourselves to measure the amount of love we are feeling within? We spend our time analyzing relationships, testing how much our partners do for us to measure the amount of love between us, popularity keeps us high and full of love, you feel like your soaring, but then we are incredibly insecure and paranoid when it feels its gone, how do we be loved by everyone, why aren't we as needed as someone else, how can I get invited to everything my friends do?

If I have just one more person to love me then I will be happy, If my partner just loved me a bit more I would feel so much more worthy, I would feel...complete

We are all guilty, at some time we have done these things. We need to not make the mistake of looking to another person to make us feel lovable or worthwhile. This is our responsibility, no one else's. Our capacity for loving another person depends entirely on our capacity for loving ourselves, and taking care of ourselves. How can we ask those we love to give us what we are not prepared to give to ourselves. It is impossible and sets our relationships up to always fail. Do you have a long line of relationships that were lacking in helping you feel loved??

When we take charge of our happiness and go within everything changes.

Firstly you need to accept yourself just the way you are.

You are perfect.... you are YOU and that is all you need to be.

Unconditionally accept your past decisions and everything you have chosen to experience because it is something unique to you and is part of your path. Remember we are all on different paths so do not judge yourself and your achievements according to others and theirs, no matter how rosey they may look. If your lacking in self love it complicates your personality more than you may think, people can feel it, you know who I'm talking about, those 'messy' people. There needs to be a point where you stop splitting yourself in two, the outside you and the inside you, it is an exhausting game that will eventually have you burning out with your fake personality collapsing, it is a lot of misdirected energy and all that energy can be put into taking care of and loving yourself just as you would love and care for another person. There is enough love to go around, share some with your own heart.

A key to loving yourself is to stop trying to be someone for everyone else, you need to be someone for yourself. Once you truly love yourself, you will no longer hunger for appraisal, you wont need to be accepted by anyone else to feel like you are worthy.

So how do we get there, to this self love state??? simple and hard really. A lot of people do not even realize they are in a non love state with themselves, all their feelings are viable and its everyone else's fault for the way they feel. When you feel worst about yourself, you also feel most disconnected from other people, you feel the love has been cut off from you for some reason, you feel a victim of situations you cant control, which brings up a whole lot of other undesirable feelings. With self love you will be much less vulnerable to resenting other peoples happiness, or to feeling jealousy or envy for not being involved in their super world of big love.

Try this test of self love to see just how comfortable you are with the feeling of accepting yourself. Stand in front of the mirror, just your face will do, nice and close. Look into your eyes, wait until you feel really aware that you are there, look yourself in the eye and say "I Love You" "I Love You Just The Way You Are" "I Love Everything About You" "I Love You" "I Love You" "I Love You" over and over again until you feel comfortable and honest. Most will stop and have a quivery lip for a bit, its very confronting. The results show us that we are always willing to project our intense love onto others but what about the true love being projected onto ourselves, not always comfortable is it? Feels a bit weird maybe? even embarrassing? How wrong does that sound, If you cannot love yourself then who can you really love? How can we be giving out real love if this is how we feel about ourselves. I also use my shower time to shower myself in love and acceptance, wash and praise your body at the same time, loving it, something like this "I love my arms, I love my arms, I love my breasts, I love my breasts, I love my stomach, I love my stomach" as you wash over the body parts state that you love them. Feel genuine thanks that you have them, also praise your inside parts too, your heart, lungs, brain, kidneys. It is the gratitude that sends the love flowing, and you glowing.

Giving NO a Go. This was the biggest start to self love for me. Is saying yes and all that trying getting you the loving feeling you so desire??? No not really, so start to say no to the things you don't really need to be doing, or things that you instantly feel a little unsure about, even if you cant stretch to a No, try a 'think about it' for a while and see if no grows on you. Sure you will miss out on a little praise but it goes no where to your overall happiness in the end if you are not in self love. If you do have self love, you will feel no love lost or gained, just serenity in your freeing decision. So the theme here is do less for others and more for yourself and get more love! It does work, people do not mind it when you say no, they will understand, of course this is not stretching to neglect of others or responsibility, its saying no to the things that will no longer be fitting into your new personality. We cant always change and still be caught in the same routines.

The social hole we feel with low self love needs work too, the fear of missing out is huge and it seems that no amount of popularity and praise gets us to the top, compliments stay high for a small amount of time, no one is filling the gap, if only I had one more friend, someone who I could really connect with then I could be really happy, the one more friend pit, the one more follower on your blog, one more comment, one more sale of your art. You are giving your happiness away to a group of people who will never be able to satisfy you, no matter how hard they try, they have been set up for failure. To let go of this type of non love we need to understand that this is a type of Loneliness, that we are trying to overcompensate for. There is a difference with being alone and being lonely, they are very very different. Learn to appreciate time with YOU. Self love helps you feel satisfied with the smallest amount of social interaction, a wonderful day alone can be so rewarding when you are enough, alone, and then any other wonderful interactions on top of this are bonuses, and you appreciate everyone of them individually instead of stockpiling them into the great abyss of the social hole. You will even find yourself turning down invitations and saying No just because you would rather hang out at home for some peaceful time. Crossing over is a wonderful feeling.

What does this now mean for our partners, husbands, friendships and families. It can sometimes feel hard to gain your self love when you are involved with others who will not be joining you. Never fear just move ahead with your progress, you will find that their moods, temperaments and beliefs will begin to affect you less and less as your confidence and inner world grow. You will still love them as before, but expect less from them so the interaction becomes a much healthier one. Their actions affect only themselves. Naturally all balance has to be restored so if you change, you will see others around you change.

And what about finding new love, friendships or partnerships?

If you come into new relationships with a strong sense of self and of the qualities you have, then you come to it ready to give and receive love. The simplest key to creating a balanced relationship is to try to live day by day, helping each other and being good to each other, but do not confuse habit and comfort with love, sure they are nice but love brings risks and transformation, habit and comfort just create a smaller world, one that is easier to control, and since when has control been a fun experience? To love and be loved is to feel the warmth of serenity and the absence of fear. Love comes to us to help us remember life and all its possibilities for a new way of being. " Love is the supreme, the ultimate expression of humanity and the path for which all other paths are but preparation."

Let your inner compass come back to where it belongs, with your own true self. Full of self love and acceptance and standing peaceful in the knowledge that you are enough, just as you are. Xxx

Spread The Love Challenge

One thing we like to do often is 'spread the love'.

We go out into public and make little hearts from natural materials and leave them for people to find. Leaves, stones, shells and flowers. Who knows if people ever see these creations or recognise them, but my hope is that it puts a smile on their face, and seeing a heart makes them instantly register they have a heart. Who knows? its a mystery but still I do it.

So this week I went to a place I know alot of people will be, in front of the park. I did a chalk drawing on the pavement for people to read and hopefully get them thinking.

If you dont have the leisure time I did to do something large without anyone really noticing then something as simple as a heart will do. One day Im going to hide in the bushes to watch passers by, like a stalker? No!... but like a researcher? Yes!

So spread the love and get people to remember the most important thing in their busy frantic days.

Why Do I Bring This Here, Why Now?

Somewhere in our pasts there was a time when women were wild, free creatures living their lives by their knowledge, endless power and intuition. They were filled with a worldly knowing that only a female could hold. The world was still as unsettled as today, but we were held differently. We knew who we were and that in itself gave us the ability to be free and confident in the natural world we lived. When I gave birth to my daughter I was transported back to this wild time. As I finally birthed my last vision was that I was a crouching woman with huge brown hair gripping the bottom of a tree, we roared together in a moment, a connection between our worlds, I felt I was in her body and she in mine, I knew this woman was me. I had revisited my wild past, birth had opened a door that was to remain open until I had put the knowledge I was about to learn into place, about returning to myself in a raw state, about being the wild u-tamed woman inside before she had been moulded and turned into the woman I saw before me. Affirmations - affirmations which I suggest you use either verbally whenever you remember or leave it written somewhere to read, or write your chosen ones out each night 10x, they help make shifts in our thought process which then makes shifts in our cells so the affirmations become our new truths.

Guided Meditation - this can be listened to whenever you have a window of silence to use, I want to take you on a journey inside yourself, to unlock doors, solve problems, gain clarity and make changes. Guided meditation is way easier than silent meditation, if you can let yourself go and visualize, you will create the change you want to see in yourself.

Challenges - nothing too wild I promise unless you want it, just little things you can do to put these thoughts into action. Some people are more into physical acts, and these you can do with kids too

Artistic Creation - there is nothing like creating something with a little intention and seeing where it takes you, so a tutorial on the artistic journey

Bringing New Projects Into The Light

I love having new ideas about where I want my career/money making life to go. I have pages upon pages of how the ideas will work, its all do-able, I CAN do everything, but for some reason I get overwhelmed when I start down the track and find myself distracted by anything that passes by, almost like I am willing things to drag me away, not letting myself commit to anything incase I get into it and change my mind and then what??? I give up? never. So this way if I dont really start anything longterm, then I dont have to go thru giving up....anyone feeling me here??

How Do I Know Which Dream To Choose?

For so many of us creatives, there are ideas a plenty swirling in our heads, but which is the one that is going to work. I have done many workshops on this, desperately trying to find the one thing so that I can just stop all the flitting and concentrate for once on one thing that will be me, the ONE thing I will succeed at. The One thing that will change me into a success and not a wandering hunter.

The answer isnt always that easy, If I concentrate on one thing for a year or two and it dosent work then what about the other things that may have worked and I poured my soul into this one instead.

The Short And The Long Projects

One thing I know is that I can excecute short projects with great ease, I can step by step anything into reality and love the pressure of a deadline and the thrill of pulling something off completely. This is where I thrive and completely succeed. Is it then possible for me to see a project of the long sort as a whole lot of little bits that I complete and are all put together in a never ending train?? Is this how people tackle business success, do you look ahead to the big picture or is that off putting. Small successes all joined together?

Going Thru A Business Creating Attunement

I know this is what is happening to me right now and has been happening all week. On the weekend I projected to a few friends that i had finally figured what I wanted to do and it sounded fantastic and I loved every bit of it, the ideas have been flowing, I have been filling pages upon pages of ideas and excecution plans. It all sounded so easy and more importantly so achieveable. People could feel what I was trying to achieve and they loved it too, it seems so real and easy to talk about, it always is, so the ideas are all there, there is no lack of a plan!

The Frustration Of Creation?

And I donot! like writing this heading, should creation equal frustration??? I have been trying to put my plan together to get my work out there, to make the changes I will need when I throw my talents for you to catch but I have hit snags, technical snags called not enough knowledge, in the computer area. I know what I need to do but spend hours trying and failing and being heartbroken. I need a computer geek friend to tutor me for sure. This is my one major hurdle that seems to put the brakes on everything.

Figuring Out What The Problem Is

So I have figured that this is where my frustration lies. I am living in an isolated town where not too many people care what I can do, but then Im part of this amazing on line world where people get me, so it is here that I am projecting my professional life, the problem is that Im kinda a farm girl and do everything by hand and face to face. My experience with digital stuff is minimal, so trying to extend and expand myself in the digital world has me running into walls every day. I am left bursting at the seams with my creativity and no power to release it, except back to paper and pen.

The Solution

Instead of giving up at these hurdles I am going to learn,... something like a new computer skill per week, that way I can evolve with my skills and there isnt the pressure to do everything now! which tends to make me run. I need to come to you in bits, starting my new project small and allowing it to grow with me. Do you ever see peoples end products and want to be there now??? yeah me too! But i cant commit to full time anyway until Indi is at school, so that gives me 1.5 years to get something going part time and then exploding into full time.

The Blessed Action

Today I will try again to complete my first meditation recording with Paitence, although I have worked at it for 3 days I now feel I have made enough mistakes to have sussed out at least half of the functions! haha

The Big Idea

On Monday I will start small by posting my first section in something I have wanted and planned to make an e-course, Im going to change topics every 2 weeks and its completely open.

This course is all about the inside of you, shining thru to the outside. Re-learning what life is about and how to live and experience it, for yourself, for your soul, for your own joy which will overflow onto others. Its about stripping back what you have been told to be and re touching with the female essence inside, the original wild woman, before she was tamed by the world. Im going to draw on everything I have learnt so far. Monday starts with the first topic on 'LOVE'..and self love too, Other weeks will be Gratitude, Fear, Grace, Well Being, Creativity, Envy, Compassion, Wisdom, Confidence, Freedom etc etc....So please join me, public or private, as long as you are there that is all that matters.....
