OWOH Prize Winners

This year to draw our winner we went down to the pond and selected 20 special leaves for 20 special names chosen by random numbers.  Can you see your name in here??

I had my darling assistant ready and waiting with her net, 'how are we going to choose a winner this year', I hear you say....

The waterlillies are blooming, the dragon flies a zooming and hungry eels looming....

so lets go fishing for winners...

we scattered the chosen names onto the dark water...

awaiting their destiny...

my impatient assistant was finally allowed to scoop up a winner...

very carefully, giving the names a good mix

and we have a winner...

stuck to the side of the net...

Now this is where it gets a bit funny..The leaf says "Lori Dane" but when I got back to the house and looked at my list, her name is actually "Lori Diane"...oops!

So the winner of the mermaid hanging is "Lori Diane" from
http://lori-diane.blogspot.com/

She is a wonderful painter and I enjoyed looking thru her blog.  I hope the wall hanging brightens your day Lori, thankyou for your wonderful comment xxx

Hmmmmm!  whats that you say? Ohh the mermaid earings...well..

after 236  commments I had a winner that stood out from the others for one simple reason

Its the lovely
Lady Bug from 'Living in the light I find'
http://thelightifind.blogspot.com/

This is her comment..

It is with a little bit of sadness that I read through your beautiful post. Each year that I have been fortunate to visit the world that you create to offer your stunning gift during One World One Heart. And for a few moments in my life I wander off into these different worlds. My eyes soak in the images as my mind longs to discover what twist or turn the story will take.

I'm thoroughly entertained, and completely in awe of the time you take to create your posts. (and slightly humbled as well)

Your offering this year is stunning and I would be so happy to welcome it into my home. (and if by some miracle I'm worthy of receiving the beautiful earrings I will sing my own song of thanks to the sea as well as gladly leave my own token of beauty for someone else to find and collect along one of the trails in the mountains near my home.)

I do hope you'll come by to visit my blog if you get the chance as well.

Thanks for sharing your beauty and light in world.

The reason I picked this comment was because if she recieved a gift from me, she wanted to give back to another stranger in a magical fun way, which kept with the story perfectly.   I wanted to be part of the chain that would brighten someones day.

To all that didnt win a prize, maybe we have won each other with the path that has lead you this way...

to hear the jingling bells of my blog posts, hopefully ring true in your ears...

so we can decorate this world together with dangling bits of joy....

Now we will be back in a few days with a tutorial on these cute kids head bands, I made them for a fair a few years ago, they are the best money making venture.. you will see...

and for those of you who were confused at the two blondies in the story, I was the mermaid.

Followers will notice that Sophia was the same girl as in my 'Spider People' tale from last years OWOH.  She came back to NZ from Argentina for the summer and came all the way up here to do this story for you.
Thankyou so much to Janine for believing in my stories like I do xxx

and thanks to our cousin Crystal who played the 2011 girl, we had a great morning Kayaking to sunken ships and retuning thru a stingray sleeping ground only 2 meters underneath us, with 100s of stingrays darting around.  I havent had a girly scream like that for ages, very freaky fun

and thankyou to everyone who appreciated the story, its all for you wonderful people.
To remember that everyday life is still magic even if we have hard realities.
and thats another year done,
back to my summer harvesting and preserving.
busy busy busy

Your Favorite Art Course

As creative as I am there is something inside of me that likes to be told what to do every now and then.  Maybe its the school girl in me who put far too much effort into her assignments, she always loved a challenge to gather information and present it in new ways.

So I would like to spend some time this year doing an Art course thru blog land, I dont even know if they are called art courses??? Im so sure there is a real word for it?? ummm.. Im thinking more like a weekly course rather than every day, time revolves around a two year old here!

The golden glow of summer is here but Ive sort of had enough of my own ideas for a while, I want to be given a prompt and join in something special with other people...

I want to see how our perceptions differ...

Can you tell me of your favorite art courses going on that you think I would like.  I know so many of you out there are loving the experience of shared visions...

I feel right now that I need to be a part of that too.
I must be craving some companions, the country can get ever so lonely sometimes...
or just to connect with others feeling the same things as me as far as art goes

All help will be appreciated
all inspiration treasured
you are all so wonderful

Is the heart of this sunflower in the shape of a heart???
Ohh the love that drips from a golden flower in summer.

theres some inspiration right there!

I think Im inspired to go eat some butter!

P.S. For those of you who dont recall the pit falls of summer, here is whats happening tonight

1. its so humid I may not be able to sleep
2. we cant open any windows because of mosquitos
3. there is a stow away cricket hiding under the kitchen bench and his jolly trilling is like a chainsaw in my ears!
and 4. my hot sweating child is bound for a bad sleep because she is sunburnt...bad parents : (

Haha got the cricket, dont worry insect lovers, he has been set free

Ace of Cups

I cant throw my cup away, it is my creating cup and I always used it when I was in my art room making magic but now that its broken I cant part with it.  Will I get the same presence from another cup??

Its just that its white and clean and patterned and a really nice shape.  Can you tell I have cup issues!

I spend some time each day looking thru OWOH posts, as I am doing now, with my banana cake with chocolate cream.  I think Im seeing why I havent won anything before, you have to be in to win and I spend so long at everyones blogs that Im not really getting anywhere, maybe 3 or 5 blogs a day, so thats about 50 by the end!  ohh dear... but thats ok because I get more from giving than recieving any way.  The getting gift joy is over so soon but the giving joy just keeps on going.

In giving joy mood, Im waiting on Txt's from some of my healers so that I can get addresses, for these parcels I have packaged up.  Money is never enough to give people who heal, they have given me back something that I treasure the most now, health and happiness.

So I made wood hangings for them all, though it dosent seems enough..

and while I wait and sip my tea...(the cake is gone! gobble gobble!!) I read a beautiful article in one of my favorite magazines...The Notebook.. so empowering and inspiring for women, this should always be your first pick when buying a new mag....

So a nice morning for a mother who is child free for a few hours....
Im now going to meditate and implant some joyful freedom into my heart by remembering this weekend...
(Ohh phewey only one blog visited today!)

we were at the wharf before dawn so that India could catch a fish for her first fishing contest. 5.30am start and nothing but excitement...

fishing with help from her Poppa, no sprats were safe....watching your child have fun while learning about the world is such a joy, I love to see her brain work....but a 2 year old casting a line!!!  whoooah...watch out!! hooks flying everywhere..

she was so happy to weigh in her fish and loved the prize giving because everyone just kept clapping woo hoo!.....she missed out on longest sprat by 1cm!!  so next time they better watch out, Indi's got the fishing bug!

Well I hope your not all freezing up there, it is soo hot here, burn time is more like 60 seconds today.  We are feeling very sad for Australia, seeing as we have family there, when will they get a break, it hurts my heart and has me feeling a little nervous for whats next to come and where, mother earth is definitely up to something.  Are we all hanging out for the end of 2012 so this can stop, and will it stop??

Ok much needed meditation..I need to relax and feel my Zen

Love you people
thankyou for all the comments on my story, it was very fun to do
